And within the trade, it is, in the memory of seasoned trade unionists, a first. But if this veritable war over the fate of the staff of the 128 self-managed supermarkets called upon to become franchisees stands out, it is for a more fundamental reason than its duration: “The break in the Belgian tradition of social dialogue.
