The Deputy Chairman of the Russian National Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, confirmed, on Friday, that if the West provided Ukraine with nuclear weapons, then Russia would need to launch a preemptive strike, while indicating that Europe had gone mad.

Medvedev considered that “Europe has gone mad, as it continues to heat up and fuel the situation with its decisions, while the United States proceeds from its pragmatic interests and has been trying for centuries to (destroy the enemy), represented by Russia.”

“Europe has gone crazy,” Medvedev said, in an interview with reporters during his visit to Vietnam. “The United States generally acts in line with its pragmatic interests. They themselves do not fight, but earn money. They are trying to destroy a centuries-old enemy. As for Europe, this is a story.” “An amazing situation for me. They constantly heat up the situation with their decisions.”

Medvedev did not rule out that in this case, “the West will send fighters to the Kiev regime.” Moreover, “maybe they will give him nuclear weapons.”

Medvedev also added that if the West provided Ukraine with nuclear weapons, then Russia would need to launch a preemptive strike, noting that there are irreversible laws of war if it comes to nuclear weapons.

Negotiations with Ukraine ‘impossible’

On the negotiations, Medvedev said that negotiations with Ukraine are “impossible” as long as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is in power.

And the TASS news agency quoted Medvedev as saying: “Everything always ends by negotiation, and this is inevitable, but as long as these people are in power, the position for Russia will not change with regard to negotiations.”
