The drivers wanted a more drastic measure with a ban on the system but the legal team of the municipality ruled out that idea because there is jurisprudence in the Supreme Court of Justice that benefits the platform.
Gennuso confirmed to BLACK RIVER that the draft ordinance to regulate the activity is in the process of socialization with other actors, especially entities linked to taxi drivers and remiseros. He remarked that He had a meeting with the company Uber that was “bad” and ruled out sitting down with the company for now.
The idea of the Executive is to present the project to the Deliberative Council as soon as possible and work on a more comprehensive regulation than Uber and transportation systems. “An authorization will be implemented for all digital platforms through which an intermediation of goods and services is carried out”, he clarified to BLACK RIVER the Chief of Staff, Marcela González Abdala.
