After his team’s elimination in four games once morest the Florida Panthers, Rod Brind’Amour came to the defense of his guys, saying that the result of the series might have been different.
Basically, it’s true that the matches were close and that they might have gone either way.
Steve Dangle, a Sportsnet reporter, took to his quote on Twitter saying that if Sheldon Keefe had offered a similar speech in Toronto, people would hear regarding it for a very long time.
But by the same token, the principal interested party decided to criticize the TVA Sports channel by affirming that it would have had an hour-long discussion regarding this subject with experts “saying 3-4 French words between crying laughter,” as if nothing was ever taken seriously.
This is an arrow that is thrown directly not only at TVA Sports, but also at francophones.
Not to make this regarding the Leafs but if Keefe said this we’d never hear the end of it. People would call in sick because they were up til dawn making memes. TVA would have a one-hour panel discussion that would just be four people saying 3-4 French words between crying laughter.

What’s the point of making comments like that? And, where does all this come from?
It is obvious that the relationship between the French media and the English media is not perfect. Recall that in 2020, a TSN journalist by the name of JD Burke criticized Francophones by saying that “French Canadians were the worst racists of all Francophones in the world”.
But while there are some differences between the two worlds, that’s no excuse to head over to Twitter and criticize a competitive outlet.
And once more, it’s absolutely useless. Dangle might clearly have saved himself a little embarrassment.
A lot of
– It is not essential, but it does its job very well job.
Many seem to dismiss Kovacevic’s value because he was claimed off waivers.
But the numbers don’t lie, he was excellent for the #Habs.
He might end up being the new Brett Kulak, which would be great news for his defensive partner, Jordan Harris.

– What’s next for the Hurricanes, who are still looking to take it to the next level?
For @TheAthletic:
The sting of the Hurricanes’ exit from the Stanley Cup playoffs is still fresh, but it’s not too soon to look ahead. Here’s what awaits this offseason.
