Netflix has been heavily criticized for launching a fee for sharing accounts in several regions and Brazil was the most recent of them.
Several service users have already expressed their dissatisfaction with the billing on social networks by canceling their subscriptions and even Prime Video took the opportunity to provoke the competitor.
I am subscribed to @NetflixBrasil for more than 10 years. I have never canceled my subscription since then, but today following the announcement of the new measures I am canceling and I encourage everyone to do the same following this extra 12.90 charge @Netflix_BR pic.twitter.com/wjn5JBT75T

The provocation came through a response to a publication on Netflix’s official Twitter account made on March 10, 2017, where the company says “Love is sharing a password”, which in direct translation means:
To love is to share the password.
The text is a direct reference to the act of sharing the account with username and password so that friends can watch series on Netflix sharing their expenses, which was encouraged by the company at the time instead of charging an additional fee for this.
When sharing and commenting on the Netflix post, the UK Prime Video account said the following:
In the image, we can see the initial screen for selecting Prime Video profiles, where six of them are displayed, each with a word, below a question:
Who’s watching?
Everyone who has our password ❤
The idea is certainly to indicate that Prime Video does not charge for sharing profiles, as it is possible to create up to 6 of them in an account and use 3 of them to watch content in 4K resolution at the same time.
Obviously, the Brazilians mightn’t resist and joined in the fun, as well as UNO’s official profile:

Another advantage is that Prime Video does not require a password to share the account on smart TVs, just an email and a PIN, making everything much more secure.
Speaking of price, Prime Video costs BRL 14.90 per month or BRL 119.90 per year integrating services such as Prime Gaming, Reading, Music, free shipping and special offers on Amazon.
The basic plan with Netflix ads costs BRL 18.90 and allows access to only one Full HD screen without downloading titles to watch offline.
