Florida’s season will end as it began. Already presented on September 10 in Sainte-Livrade-sur-Lot, “The guardians of the temple” take over the Agen theater on Saturday May 27, which has accompanied the project since its inception. Its creators, Aurélien Caillaux and Benoit Bories, speak of it as a “documentary concert” which takes as its stage the reception center for French people from Indochina in Sainte-Livrade (Cafi): “We spent a year recording Claudine and Irma, inhabitants of the center, their daily life, without intervening, just by letting them live. We wanted to collect the memory of this community, how people who grew up in this neighborhood perpetuate their culture through rituals, transmit collective values”, explains Benoit Bories, sound designer.

Interviews, everyday sounds, via eight loudspeakers placed in the Florida room: “We combine both documentary narration and sounds reminiscent of the Cafi, which create mental images. The material is created directly”, explains Aurélien Cailleux, at the origin of the project and who recalls that “the question of memory, which forges identity, are absolutely universal values”.

Saturday May 27 at 8:30 p.m. Admission: 14 euros, 12 euros (reduced). Show in reduced gauge to 60 people. Such. 05 53 47 59 54
