The landfill was uncovered by firefighters around 1:00 p.m., when they were called to respond to smoke from a phosgene bomb. The device was evacuated by the Defense bomb disposal service, but some 80 other explosives were found.
Two homes near the site were emptied of their five occupants during the intervention, which ended around 5:00 p.m.
