Sony will this evening be the first to launch the salvo of summer conferences of the major video game publishers with its now traditional PlayStation Showcase. We tell you where and how to follow the event live.
No E3 this year, but that doesn’t mean manufacturers will ignore their conferences. Sony draws the first with the PlayStation Showcase which will take place this evening. If the rumors are going well, we still do not know the exact course of the program apart from a few rumors and above all a big salvo of games for the PlayStation 5 and the PlayStation VR2.
Where and when to follow the PlayStation Showcase?
Contrary to its usual, Sony has chosen a more “suitable” schedule for us Europeans since the event will be broadcast live on the channels Youtube et Twitch from the editor from 10 p.m.. Sony has already announced that the stream will last just over an hour.
What can we expect from the 2023 edition of the PlayStation Showcase?
Unlike State of Play, which happens randomly several times throughout the year, PlayStation Showcase is the publisher’s annual announcement showcase with titles first party or third-party publishers often unveiled for the first time. The last one already dating from September 2021 had lifted the veil on a few titles still not released or almost like Final Fantasy XVI (coming in less than a month) Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth or the long-awaited remake of Silent Hill 2. There is a good chance of seeing these titles once more this evening, with in particular final release dates for the end of the year, at least we hope so.
Rumors are also insistent on some highly anticipated titles such as a certain GTA VI (even if we still doubt his presence this evening) but especially concerning the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, the incessant rumors of the last few days on the latter might materialize this evening. Like every year, there is also talk of a potential remake of Bloodborne which would arrive on PS5 and otherwise on PC.
Despite the silence following its release last February, the PlayStation VR2 should also be well promoted with the arrival of big titles, we think in particular of Half-Life: Alyx and above all new ambitious productions from the publisher for its virtual reality helmet which really needs it.
Finally, still in the rumor department, it might be that we can glimpse the famous project ” Q Lite »a portable console dedicated to cloud and remote Play that can display PS4 and PS5 games as well as games available on PS Now.
