First announced during a PlayStation Showcase in September 2020, Final Fantasy XVI is finally set to release on June 22. The Square Enix title has a double pressure resting on its shoulders, since it is both the new numbered episode of a legendary video game saga, but also because it is the summer exclusive of the PS5. A month before its release, the press and content creators were able to play the game once more for three hours.

An ambitious demo for FFXVI?
To take stock of this famous trial version, first of all, it should be noted that it will be available a few weeks before the game’s release. In the past, Naoki Yoshida, the producer of FF16, had explained that he wanted the demo to be deployed a little before the launch of the title so that the craze did not go up in the meantime. Thus, we can expect the demo to be available in June, between the beginning and the middle of the month.
As for content, the latter is scheduled to last approximately two hours and will relate to the portion of the game to which the media and content creators have had access. Players should therefore follow Clive Rosefield, the hero of the adventure, in his young years, before he embarks on his quest for revenge. Enough to allow players to discover both the history of the game and the basics of its gameplay. The good news is that player progress may carry over to the final version, which will save them from having to do the beginning once more. In any case, we can’t wait to get our hands on this demo, which should be released in the coming weeks.
