Developed by designer Parker Ortolaniit is a shortcut to iOS, iPadOS e macOS that allows you to post certain text as a tweet and a tooth at the same time — hence the name of the software.
Editable, which allows users to customize the shortcut as they see fit, Twoot even supports sharing texts and links from other applications on both social networks — an option that is integrated into the operating system’s sharing menu.
As it’s sort of an experiment by Ortolani, who developed the shortcut for personal use (as a hobby) there’s no guarantee we’ll see updates in the future. Anyway, the designer released an update recently to make it simpler and easier to configure.
It should be noted that you still need to have the Twitter and Mastodon apps installed on your device. You can add a shortcut to quickly access Twoot from the Home screen on iPhone and iPad, as well as from the Dock or the shortcut list in the macOS menu bar.
