Realme C30s

We start with the cheapest option on our list, the realme C30s. It was launched on the domestic market at the end of 2022 for R$1,000 and now, in mid-2023, it can be found for around R$600.

Its hardware is quite simple, as expected from a cell phone in this price range, but it has a biometric reader integrated into the power button on the right side, while it is still common to see cheap cell phones without this type of biometrics.

He doesn’t get to thrill in performance due to the old hardware and having only 2 GB of RAM, which makes him the slowest on our list in multitasking. As it is cheaper, it is acceptable and even compensates with a good battery that lasts all day. Its cameras do the basics and are even above some more expensive models.

It comes with newer hardware and has more RAM to ensure better multitasking performance than realme C30s. Samsung’s basics also feature longer battery life, despite taking longer to charge.

He owes a biometric reader and with that he will have to use facial biometrics or enter a password. It also does not have 5 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity and its cameras are at the same level as the realme rival. A highlight is the software’s most complete features without weighing on performance.

Despite being older, the Galaxy A03 delivers much more agile performance than the two models mentioned. Its battery also lasts much longer, being among the best in the segment with the ability to last two days in lighter use.

It owes a biometric reader like the Galaxy A04e, but comes with faster Wi-Fi with support for 5 GHz networks. It does well in most games and its cameras record photos a little better than cheaper models, in addition to doing better background blurring than the basic ones mentioned.

Motorola Moto E22

If you are looking for a more recent model, we have the Moto E22 that hit the market at the end of last year for R$ 1,100. Currently it can be found close to R$ 700.

The Moto E22 is the lightest phone on our list and one of the thinnest in its class. It stands out for having a 90 Hz screen for superior fluidity, while entry-level cell phones with a 60 Hz panel are still common. Another strong point of Motorola’s basics is its stereo sound with a good balance between bass, mids and highs, with equalizer support with Dolby Atmos.

As not everything is happy when talking regarding a basic cell phone, it lacks in performance for being the slowest on our list in multitasking. Its battery is the smallest and consequently has the lowest autonomy of the models on our list. The rear cameras are average for the segment, while the front camera takes better selfies than the cheapest on our list.

Blue B9

The North American manufacturer Blu returned to the national market at the end of 2022 bringing three new basic cell phones and the one that caught the most attention was the B9, with an initial price of R$ 1,700, but which is currently selling for half.

The Blu B9 may not excite on many points, but it delivers better performance and battery life than the Moto E22. However, its biggest highlight is being the most complete cell phone on our list in terms of accessories. It comes with cover, film and even wireless headphones in the box. It’s a good gift to give to that person who doesn’t want to worry regarding finding cell phone accessories.

He is the weakest in cameras and manages decent photos only in well-lit places, as well as selfies that suffer a lot in dark places. Another point that may disappoint some is that the basic Blu comes with a very outdated system.

Realme C33

We have another affordable realme phone option on our list, the C33. It arrived on the Brazilian market at the end of 2022 for R$1,600 and can currently be found for around R$800.

The C33 will catch the eye of anyone who cares regarding design. It is thin and has a modern look with a glossy back with small dots that look like glitter. It doesn’t have a 90 Hz screen like Motorola’s, but it comes with a touch sensor that responds to 120 Hz, which improves gaming performance.

It is more agile in multitasking than the others mentioned and its battery lasts well, with the possibility of staying two days away from sockets in lighter use. The C33 comes with a camera with a higher resolution than the cheaper ones mentioned and its 50 MP record photos with more details, although it doesn’t excite at night. The secondary is quite plain and doesn’t make the best segment blur effect.

The Moto G42 hit the Brazilian market in mid-2022 for R$1,700. It is currently possible to find it for around R$ 1 thousand. What’s special regarding him?

Perhaps its biggest strength is its screen, which despite being only 60 Hz like most models on our list, features an OLED panel with stronger brightness, perfect black and vibrant colors. And just like the E22, this one also brings powerful stereo sound for a multimedia experience superior to the others on our list.

It may not be one of the fastest in the segment, but it delivers the longest battery life on our list. This ensures that the Moto G42 can spend two days away from power outlets and also doesn’t take as long to recharge as cheaper models. Its photographic set features an ultra-wide camera, which is rare in cheap cell phones. It also stands out for taking better night shots.

Its biggest highlight compared to the others on our list is its support for 5G networks, which guarantees that you will have a cell phone already prepared for the new era of mobile internet for high-speed browsing anywhere with a compatible signal.

Its performance is on par with the Moto G42, while the battery yields a little less. To compensate, it has the best camera in its category and records good photos in any situation. The front camera is also above the segment and takes better selfies than other entry-level phones.

It is the thinnest on our list and the one with the biggest screen, being recommended for those looking for a cell phone to enjoy movies and games. Its 90 Hz screen has good brightness, but the mono sound disappoints in the multimedia experience.

It delivers the fastest performance of the models on our list and its battery lasts a long time while also charging the fastest, thanks to the powerful 33W charger that comes in the box. The cameras are below the Galaxy A14, but the night mode helps a lot to take good pictures in dark places.
