The media, Lamees El-Hadidi, communicated with the artist Abla Kamel, following demands to honor her at the Cairo Film Festival for her long artistic journey.
Lamees Al-Hadidi said, on her program, A Last Word, broadcast on ON channel: “I called her, and I am happy that she accepted this communication, and that she always gives me the opportunity to be in communication between me and her.”
Lamis said regarding the big star: “She is very grateful for all the invitations and very grateful for all the requests to honor me.”
And I told her: “I am very happy, and I am certainly honored and would love to be honored in my country, but I do not like to go to honors or even go out a lot.. I cannot attend these places or these events due to special circumstances.”
And Lamees added, on the tongue of “Abla”: “She is happy with the audience’s reaction and the words that Menna Shalaby said, and all the words that I write regarding her contain an energy of joy and happiness with the people who still remember her.”
Lamees demanded the need to honor her, saying: “Why not, why not honor the artist Abla Kamel, even if she was unable to attend? .. It is not necessary to attend, but it is possible to honor this journey and the impact that Abla Kamel left. This honor is for a member of her family, whether her children or grandchildren.. Why do we not honor this great woman who made us laugh and cry?”
