One of the most popular email managers today, o Spark is launching a series of tools artificial intelligence (AI)which come with the promise of fully improving users’ experience with the software.
Described by the developer Readdle as a “new era” for your email client, the Spark + AI available today on the service’s desktop and mobile apps and leverages the popular learning model of OpenAI to help you write the perfect text for your emails.
Working as a powerful personal assistant, the feature promises to make your work more efficient with a quick composition that lasts a few seconds — which will certainly save you a lot of time in this simple, but sometimes time-consuming task, which is writing emails.
Among the new features that arrive with the novelty are the possibility of writing personalized emails or responses from scratch providing only a brief context or even reformulating an already written text – whether shortening, expanding or changing its tone to something more formal or colloquial.
Also making it possible to review emails to ensure a certain professionalism, Spark +AI has a quick reply function, which allows you to quickly choose between options such as “Interested”, “Not interested” or “Thanks” — apparently, something similar to the Smart Reply feature , of Gmail.
Another important detail is that Spark +AI does not change the security and privacy guidelines that we already know from Spark, with user data remaining encrypted and private, with the guarantee that the latest data security standards are being used.
This means, among other things, that the commands you give the app to get the AI-generated texts will be shared with OpenAI only to provide the targeted content, not for training purposes.
Spark +AI is available in over 40 languages, including Portuguese. According to Readdle, it should work best in English at first, but soon it should be perfected in the many other supported languages.
New feature is available as a subscription benefit Premium from Spark. Each subscriber has a certain amount of “energy” on a monthly basis — theoretically capable of covering a good part of day-to-day tasks, such as generating emails, responses or editing drafts.
However, if the user spends all his monthly quota, he will have to wait until the subscription renewal to gain more energy or he can simply buy additional energy. The app will notify you whenever there is only 10% energy left in each account.
Of course, you might already use tools like ChatGPT to generate texts for your emails, but a direct integration with your favorite client is very welcome, isn’t it?
