WhatsApp beta for Windows gets reminder for unsent messages

WhatsApp has received a new beta update on the Windows version available on the Microsoft Store with build 2.2319.4.0.

Among the news, WhatsApp added a reminder when a message has been typed in the conversation, but not sent.

After installing version 2.2319.4.0 of WhatsApp beta for Windows, some users will receive the functionality that flags drafts. It was already possible to have a draft in the native version for Windows, but several times, it was common to forget that something had been written in that conversation when closing it for some reason.

Now, an indicator on the home screen will alert you that the user has started to write something but has not sent the message. As seen in the image below, conversations that have a draft message will be highlighted at the top with the word “Draft” written in green.

With this, WhatsApp will help the most forgetful and distracted who started to write a message, left the conversation or application and forgot to send it. The fact that it is prioritized at the top is also a good idea and ensures that the draft will be seen.

The new drafts reminder for unsent messages is available for some of the users who have installed the latest version of WhatsApp beta for Windows from the Microsoft Store. If no serious errors are found, WhatsApp should start rolling out features for the stable version in the coming weeks.
