The generation of processors Intel Metero Lake-S can be cancelled. This information is a rumor and comes from a user named “Raichu” no Twitter (@OneRaichu) and he mentioned that the series will be replaced by another called “Arrow Lake-S“, which should hit the market in 2024.

Several leaks regarding the supposed Meteor Lake-S appeared and pointed out possible novelties such as the presence of a new lithography, in addition to L4 cache. However, the latest rumors suggest that this new generation of the manufacturer should not appear, as the project would have been canceled.

This is one of the possible conclusions when faced with the company’s latest launch schedule, which does not mention any component with that name. So it looks like the only processors to be released in 2024 are the socket Arrow Lake-S LGA 1851.

Regarding this line, it seems that the chips will go back to having 14 cores and 20 threads instead of the 24 cores and 32 threads present in the Raptor Lake-S. In this structure, 6 of the cores would be dedicated to performance, while the remaining 8 cores would be dedicated to energy efficiency.

Still on Intel, it is worth mentioning that the company should release around 20% of its employees in the coming months due to a wave of layoffs that it intends to carry out. As for the next processors, it only remains to wait for what news the company will bring in its presentation of the chips.

And you, what do you expect from the brand’s next chips? Tell us in the comments!
