Magui Olave after her bad health moment: “I felt like I was dying”

Magui Olave suffered a severe decompensation in August 2022 that forced her to suspend her shows for a while. According to the artist, while she was taking her children to school, she lost consciousness and did not remember what happened following her. A doctor who witnessed the episode assisted her immediately and performed CPR when she realized that Magui was unconscious, without a pulse and without breathing.

Fortunately, Magui, better known as “The female voice of the quartet” recovered and today, May 22, visited the program intruders to talk regarding your health.

During the interview, Magui Olave shared the importance of work in her life and how it has been a challenge for her to make her way in the entertainment industry. In addition, she mentioned the difficulties of reconciling her night work with the responsibility of being a mother.

In this context, Karina Iavícoli, a panelist for the cycle, asked him: “How was that day that you broke down? It was tremendous, I remember that it came out everywhere and that at that time it was not well understood what had happened.

Then, the singer recounted the day she broke down, mentioning that she had had little rest time due to worries and lack of sleep. She described the symptoms that she experienced, including difficulty breathing and a severe headache.

“The next day I take my kids to school, I drop them off and when I get in my truck to leave, I start to feel bad. So, (…) I called my best friend, who had been at the school reunion with me, and told her ‘friend, come look for me because I don’t feel well’. 5 minutes passed and I began to feel that the lack of air was increasing. I try to roll down the car window and he said ‘come get me because I can’t take it anymore’. At that moment I fainted and my friend came and found me inside the car,” Olave recalled.

The singer commented that later, inside the ambulance, she had an anxiety attack. “I wanted to rip off my clothes because I felt like I was dying, that I was suffocating,” she commented.

Magui related the syncope she suffered to the situation she had previously experienced. “I came from a summer with a lot of work, of being very nervous. I am an independent artist, I am in charge of 30 people, there are many things and it is difficult for me to delegate. I think it was going a little on that side, and I’m very sensitive. I have no middle ground, ”she acknowledged.

The pandemic and career ups and downs were also mentioned during the interview, highlighting how they affected people in general. For her part, Pablo Layus recalled how Magui was forced to accompany her husband in her sports commitments and move her family to different places while she tried to develop her artistic career. Despite her challenges, Olave was grateful for her recovery and for being able to resume her passion for music.
