Cannes Film Festival: a woman dressed in the colors of Ukraine is covered in fake blood on the red carpet
CANNES FESTIVAL – A woman dressed in a dress in the colors of the flag of Ukraine burst onto the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival this Sunday evening, May 21, to cover herself in fake blood, before being evacuated by security, noted AFP journalists.
Before the out-of-competition screening of the film “Acid” by French director Just Philippot, this woman positioned herself on the steps, then she pulled out bags of fake blood, which she tore above her head. It carried no written message.

Wednesday evening, a feminist activist had already taken over the red carpet of the Festival, to protest once morest surrogacy (GPA).
Dressed in a red dress revealing a fake pregnant belly, on which was written « surrogacy » (GPA), this activist had already appeared on the red carpet in 2022 with her bust covered in paint in the colors of the Ukrainian flag and the mention « stop raping us » (“stop raping us”).
