59-year-old seriously injured in collision
On Sunday morning there was an accident between two cars on the Albulastrasse in Bergün GR. One person suffered moderate injuries and had to be taken to the hospital.

On Sunday morning, shortly following 9.45 a.m., a 59-year-old drove his car on Albulastrasse from Filisur towards Bergün. At the same time, a 36-year-old drove his car in the opposite direction from Bergün towards Filisur. As the Graubünden cantonal police announced on Sunday, the 36-year-old hit the middle of the road on a straight stretch of road near God da Streda for reasons that are still unknown and collided sideways and frontally with the oncoming vehicle of the 59-year-old.
He was moderately injured in the accident. After the first emergency medical care on site, the 59-year-old was transferred to the hospital in Thusis with the Mittelbünden rescue service. Both vehicles had to be towed away by the tow truck. While the accident was being recorded, the Albulastrasse between Bergün and Filisur had to be closed for around three hours. The Graubünden cantonal police are investigating the exact circumstances that led to this traffic accident.
