Husband Sajeesh and wife Pratibha remember Sister Lini, who died of the disease while caring for those affected by the Nipah virus. I get the care and love of one half and the motherly love and affection of a mother to our children,” Sajeesh wrote on Facebook.
“Your memories and the mother mind in you are immortal. Therefore our children are not alone today. I am with you as a mother to give love, affection and care,” Pratibha wrote on Facebook. No number of numbered days or years is needed to remember you. Pratibha said because you are with us as one of us.
Sajeesh was remarried last year. He is married to Pratibha, a teacher. Sajeesh, who got a government job, is currently an employee of the health department. Lin, who worked at the Perampra taluk hospital, contracted the virus while tending to Nipah patients. Lini went to her death caring for Nipah victims.
