The Lotus breaker shines in Zurich. At only 16 years old, Mateo Prinz from Prêles (BE), trained at the Groove Academy in Neuchâtel, stood out from all his competitors on Saturday. He claimed the breaking victory in the Swiss final of Red Bull BC One in front of 1,000 cheering spectators.
In the sold-out Hall 622 in Zurich, he thus won the chance to represent Switzerland in the world final. Considered the most prestigious 1-on-1 Breaking Battle in the world, this competition will take place this year in the French capital, in preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games where breaking will be presented for the first time as an Olympic discipline.
The final challenged the young Lotus as well as the experienced Moa, promised to a triple victory. It was finally B-boy Lotus who was able to convince the judges: “I really wanted to win today and I’m very happy to participate for the first time, to be there and to win the first time.
