The state of health of the King of Morocco is increasingly worrying. His last public appearance, supposed to reassure public opinion which wondered regarding the disappearance of Mohamed VI of the public scene, has, on the contrary, revived the crazy rumors regarding his health.
It has been several months since Moroccans got used to the absence of their king, who spends more time abroad than in his kingdom.
Counts made by Western media indicate that during the year 2022 alone, he spent 200 days outside Morocco, mainly in France, Gabon and the Seychelles.

Several Western media surveys, such as The Times and The Economist, have recently returned to these royal escapes and the malaise created within the Moroccan palace and throughout the country by the king’s frequentations.
While he did not travel to Saudi Arabia to attend the 32nd summit of heads of state of the Arab League, being represented by his brother Moulay Rachid, Mohamed VI was this week in Rabat where he was presented with the prototype of the first Moroccan-made car.
The king’s state of health quickly overshadowed the event of the day. The slim face and pale complexion of the monarch did not escape observers and public opinion. He has lost a lot of weight and is almost unrecognizable. Speculation regarding the deterioration of his state of health was immediately revived.

He would also suffer from sarcoidosis, a rare disease affecting the immune system and which requires regular monitoring for the risks it presents of progressing very quickly.
