Koepka weathers difficult day and leads the PGA Championship

PITTFORD, N.Y. (AP) — Brooks Koepka says he usually shines at the majors because they are difficult tests. The PGA Championship was precisely challenging on a rainy Saturday at Oak Hill.

And therefore Koepka shined, even during intermittent rains. He finished 54 holes on top for the second straight major.

He delivered a card of 66 shots, four under par. It was the best score at Oak Hill for the second day in a row.

As a result, Koepka has a one-shot advantage over Viktor Hovland and Corey Conners.

Now you have to finish the job. He didn’t make it last month at the Masters, when he led by two shots, he tried to avoid mistakes but turned in a 75.

Spaniard Jon Rahm caught up with him to win by a four-shot lead.

“I know what I did,” Koepka said. “I promise I won’t act the same way tomorrow.”
