A software development company, called AE Studio, has just launched Seance AI (or the AI of the seance). And the creator of the company, Jarren Rocks, does not hide his intention to insist on the macabre side of the experience. This states: “We try to make the name as magical and mystical as possible“.
Artificial intelligence: a true seance of spiritualism
The entrepreneur also emphasizes the brevity of the seances. Indeed, it is not a question here of keeping the spirit of a deceased person alive, but rather of to be able to exchange last words. This technology can thus be used in the event of sudden death, the relatives of the victim not having no time to say goodbye to the victim.
Jarren Rocks insists : “It is essentially a brief interaction which allows you to turn the page. That’s really where the main focus lies […] This is not a long term project. As it stands, it’s a conversation regarding closure and processing emotions.”
Moreover, the founder of AE Studio even admits that in the current state of things, Seance AI can’t really hold a long conversation. It states as follows: “For short conversations, I think she’s reasonably human. I think she’s falling apart a bit [lorsque vous] begin to perceive the repetitions […] He follows a pattern, but doesn’t really know what’s going on.”
The cost of this experiment has yet to be determined. But if, initially, the company planned to set up a monthly subscription, AE Studio went back. The company is limited to a pay-per-view modelin order to deter users “to invoke the dead too often”.
