Pulp Fiction producer and Academy Award winner Lawrence Bender is working on a new Avicii documentary. The film is set to feature “previously unreleased footage” of the legendary DJ’s discovery and rise.
Lawrence Bender and Orlando John are producing Avicii documentary
Lawrence Benderwho for his many projects with Quentin Tarantino is known (including “Pulp Fiction” (1994) and “Kill Bill – Vol. 1” (2003)), and the longtime talent manager and entrepreneur Orlando John are regarding as producers on a new documentary Avicii involved. Orlando John will along with Jonas Exchanges, known for his work on Rupintojelis (2022), What the Fuck Heisst Redirected? (2014) and Ghost I Don’t Remember (2015). That reports Variety.
“Avicii changed the music industry,” says Orlando Johnwho, among other things, with the musician Wyclef Jean and the actor Joel Kinnaman works together.
“People think they know the story, but they really have no idea what really happened. I feel a deep obligation to ensure that the story is told accurately and objectively. This documentary will give viewers a deeper understanding of the brand that has left an indelible mark on music and culture.”
Lawrence Bender said that not only the story of him Avicii excited, but also the perspective that Orlando had as a director. He noted that it’s this perspective that will make this an eye-opener.
The announcement of this new project emphasizes that the film will shed light on how the acclaimed DJ uses Ash Pournouri, who discovered the DJ in 2008 and managed him until their split in 2016, rose to fame. The documentary will feature previously unreleased material and new interviews Avicii family and friends as well as with other stars of the EDM world like Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell of the Swedish House Mafia contain.

Not the first documentation
This is the second Avicii documentary currently in production. In 2021 gave Avicii Estate announced that a new documentary directed by Björn Tjarnberg and Henrik Burman goes into production. At the time, a 2023 release date was predicted, but no further details regarding the film or its possible release date have yet been revealed.
