The American Stroke Association has reported a significant rise in stroke reporting at a younger age than usual over the past three decades.

According to the American “Fox Newsnews network, doctors in the United States are looking for the causes of strokes for younger patients, referring to those under fifty years old.

The network cited the case of a 29-year-old man who suffered a severe and sudden headache, and then it turned out that it was caused by a stroke that led to bleeding in the brain, but the doctors managed to save him.

Muhammad Al-Ghanim, a doctor at HCA Medical Care in Houston, Texas, who is responsible for the sick young man’s condition, said that the latter’s wife did not think he would survive.

Al-Ghanim considered that “29 years is too young to suffer a stroke.”

• The American Stroke Association reports that the incidence of this serious condition among those 49 years of age or younger in the United States has continued to increase over the past 30 years.

• “About 15 percent of all strokes occur in people 50 years of age or younger,” said Traci Morden, the association’s official.

• In conjunction with the advent of this May, the National Stroke Awareness Month in the United States, doctors issued warnings regarding the signs of stroke, most notably the loss of the ability to control facial muscles, arm weakness, and difficulty speaking.

Al-Ghanem says that scientists are still searching for explanations for the prevalence of strokes among younger adults.

And he adds to “Fox News”: “In my opinion, it is because of the unhealthy life that we live. A lot of fast food and unhealthy food, and people tend not to exercise because of the work style and their busy life.”

Al-Ghanem also believes that neglecting health care or regular doctor visits during the Corona epidemic, can later lead to strokes in young people often.
