Walmart to close 23 US retail stores this year. The reason is that these branches had poor financial performance.
Walmart has been closing a few stores in different states on a yearly basis. According to the company, these stores are not achieving the expected resultsalthough no further details have been given in this regard.
Walmart recently announced that it will be closing a store in Kansas City, Kansas on June 2. They made this decision following reviewing several factors, including the financial performance of the store.
In addition, in April, Walmart also reported that it would close four stores in Chicago due to heavy economic losses.
