Sydney: Australian former Test cricket captain and hockey Olympian Brian Booth passed away. He was 89 years old.
Booth played 29 Tests for Australia and led the team in two matches. Booth was the leading Aussie batsman in the sixties and scored five centuries. Scored 1773 runs at an average of 42.21.
Booth was a member of the Australian hockey team at the 1956 Berlin Olympics.
Cricket Australia has expressed its condolences on the death of Brian Booth.
