Phantom Liberty, the Cyberpunk 2077 DLC, may be a lot closer than fans think. Announced in 2022, the DLC came with the promise of being massive content, serving as a major expansion to the futuristic RPG. Now, a new rumor indicates that Phantom Liberty will be released in June 2023. That’s right, next month. The information was revealed on the Polish podcast Rock and Boris.

Phantom Liberty is coming

According to the hosts of the podcast, the information was shared by sources connected to CD Projekt Red, who confirmed the launch of Phantom Liberty between June 8 and the beginning of July. According to the podcast’s sources, development on the expansion is progressing well.

However, it is important to remember that nothing has been confirmed by the Polish developer. CD Projekt Red has revealed little information regarding the expansion and has yet to announce any date or deadline. Therefore, the information should still be treated as a rumor.

While we still don’t know much regarding Phantom Liberty, CD Projekt Red has revealed that the story expansion will be massive in scale. Again with V as the protagonist, we will also see the return of Johnny Silverhand, played by Keanu Reeves, as we discover more regarding the character’s past.

As we explore an area called Dogtown, Phantom Liberty will deliver a journey in the vein of a spy thriller, introducing a major new character. Played by Idris Elba, another big Hollywood name in the cast, Solomon Reed is an FIA agent who will be introduced in the game with the arrival of the DLC.
