He Pilar party added a new municipal hospital specialized in high complexity and emergencies. It is the Central Hospital of Pilar, located at km 52.5 of the Pan-American highway. It is equipped with 76 beds and 15 consulting rooms.

The main differential that the health establishment has is the technology that was incorporated, which will allow treating complex pathologies. As part of the compendium of services is hemodynamics, available 24 hours a day, for the treatment of heart attacks, the main cause of death in people of all ages.

It proposes a staggered and integrated care system, going from primary care centers to Intermediate Health Diagnostic Units (UDIS) and from these to acute care hospitals, with the Emergency Medical Care System (SAME) as a transversal axis. of the system.

The building is strategically located on the Pan-American highway, as it is the route with the highest number of accidents in the district, and it has a heliport for rapid admission or transfer of critically ill patients to a more complex center.

The establishment incorporated 700 people as administrative and service personnel, and 220 doctors who significantly expand the health offer in the district.

For its construction, the municipality of Pilar received from the Ministry of Health of the Nation more than 668 million pesos for the acquisition of equipment to strengthen the health response of their community, in addition to a tomograph as part of the actions of the Reconstruct Health plan.

Located at kilometer 52.5 of the Pan-American highway, it is equipped with 76 beds and 15 consulting rooms.

The hospital has three operating rooms, plus hemodynamics, and an imaging area with a tomograph, radiology, ultrasound, and resonator. It also has an area for hospitalization, intensive and intermediate therapy, fifteen clinics and a support and services area for the public and staff. A stroke unit allows rapid care for those who suffer from this pathology, the fundamental cause of disability problems in young people.

It is equipped with an emergency service, on-call, shock room, coronary unit, electrophysiology area, dialysis, tomography, ultrasound, x-rays and 24-hour on-call surgery, among other services.

To treat autoimmune diseases, a plasmapheresis machine is available as well as a blood multifilter for various pathologies within the hemodynamic system.

The new municipal hospital is thus integrated into the district health system, which has, among others, the Sanguinetti Hospital in central Pilar, the Falcón Pediatric Hospital in Del Viso and the Presidente Derqui Municipal Hospital, inaugurated in 2020 to deal with the pandemic.

The hospital was inaugurated today by the district mayor, Federico Achával. “It is a great joy and great pride to inaugurate this Central Hospital in Pilar, which the community dreamed of for so many years. Today it is a reality that will transform the health system, that will take care of our neighbors and save lives. It has top-level technology, equipment that was not available until now in the public system in the area and that will allow complex pathologies to be treated here, and fundamentally with a trained human resource with a human perspective,” Achával said during its inauguration.

He was accompanied by Governor Axel Kicillof; the Minister of Health of the Nation, Carla Vizzotti, and the Minister of Public Works, Gabriel Katopodis; among other provincial and municipal officials, and a large number of neighbors and health workers.
