Making energy where no one was making it before. This is the objective of Thierry Thomazeau, founder of Thomwatts. The Vendéen invented a floating turbine adapted to low falls which is added to the dams, at the level of the reserved flows. A first model, installed by the end of the year on a dam in Maine-et-Loire six meters high and with a flow rate of 200 liters per second, will generate between 6.5 and 7 kW of nominal power, i.e. 168kWh/24h. Enough to supply electricity to 13 homes, explains the entrepreneur.
