Jean-Marc Nollet, co-president of Ecolo, was Antonio Solimando’s guest this morning at 7:50 am. He advocates limiting the of political parties on social networks.
“It is a proposal that the citizens who have been drawn, the G1000 of governance, formulate to political parties. And I say yes to them. As ecologists, we are going to relay this proposal. For ourselves, we limit to 50,000 euros in our budget for sponsorship on social networks. I know that other parties, and in particular the communists of the PTB, spend hundreds of thousands of euros on on social networks. Which is something perverse because that we know that algorithms also work on division, on hatred, and that only pushes extreme parties. So yes, citizens are right when they propose this and we are going to relay this proposal”explained Jean-Marc Nollet.
The panel he is talking regarding is a group of 60 citizens who are attacking party financing, want a reform of allocations, and in particular of parties, and want the money that is paid to parties to be invested less in communication and more in studies.
