The French telecoms expert, Ariase, has just published its barometer for May 2023 and the results are ambiguous: when the prices of mobile plans are falling sharply, those of fiber continue to increase. On the operator side, RED by SFR is doing the best.
The latest Ariase Barometer has just fallen and the least that can be said is that the trends are continuing and even increasing in terms of mobile plans and internet boxes.
In its calculation over 12 months, the organization measured a drop of 2.90% in the price of mobile plans of at least 10 GB and an increase of 13.10% over the same period in fiber subscriptions. The fall in the price of mobile packages is partly explained by the breakthrough of MVNOs with which the more incumbent operators have had to align themselves. As for the price of fiber box subscriptions, this increase can be explained by a stagnant market for months and where the most high-end oriented offers (Livebox Max Fiber, Bbox Ultym, SFR Fiber Power, etc.) are meeting with some success.

In addition to global prices, Ariase also calculates the average prices of each operator. RED by SFR is clearly the one that benefits the most from these changes over 24 months with an average price of 8.41 euros on mobile plans and 25.32 euros on fiber subscriptions. It becomes the cheapest operator in these two areas ahead of Sosh and Bouygues Télécom (B&You and Bbox). This is probably due to its flexible offer with à la carte mobile and box plans and a call price that has not changed since the beginning of the year, where other operators have changed their prices slightly. increasing over the months.
