After years of waiting and speculation, the mysterious (and highly anticipated) mixed reality headset (AR/VR) from Apple may be just a few weeks away from being revealed to the world. At least that’s what the famous analyst believes Ming-Chi Kuofrom TF International Securities, according to its latest insights into the future of the Cupertino giant.

According to Kuo, it is “highly likely” that Apple will present its new device during the WWDC23, set to take place between the 5th and 9th of June. In addition to the company being “well prepared” to show its newest product, this move would also do good for the share price of its supply chain, explained the analyst.

According to the information, published by the analyst on Medium, the Chinese Luxshare will even have exclusivity in the process of assembling the headset, contrary to what had been previously announced. The manufacturer, however, will not be the biggest beneficiary of the production chain, since this position was occupied by Cowell responsible for manufacturing the product’s 12 camera modules — due to its smaller revenue size.

These sensors are even among the five most expensive headset components, according to Kuo. This list is completed by the external power supply (produced by Gorete), the construction of the product itself (Everwin Precision as the main supplier), dual processors (produced by TSMC) and the Micro-OLED display (produced by Sony).

If before Kuo was cautious when talking regarding Apple’s headset, now the analyst seems to be more optimistic than ever for its arrival. According to him, if everything goes as planned, the device will soon become the “most important investment trend in the consumer electronics sector”.

Oculus Founder Praises Headset

Another person who seems excited regarding Apple’s next big product, like noticed by AppleInsiderIt is Palmer Luckeyknown for being the founder of the famous Oculus — now commanded by Meta, by Mark Zuckerberg.

Without offering more details, Luckey said in a tweet posted yesterday on his personal account that the Apple headset is “very good”.

Apple headset is very good.

In case you don’t know him, Luckey gained fame back in 2012, when he led the development of the first Oculus headset, the Rift. The founder left the company in 2017, three years following it was acquired by Meta (at the time, still known only as Facebook).
