Pogba-Drama: Diagnose da

That’s how frenetically Pogba is celebrated

The former superstar Paul Pogba is allowed to play in the starting eleven following a 390-day break – but early in the game there is another injury drama in the French.

The former superstar of Juventus Turin was finally back in the starting XI following more than a year of suffering – following 23 minutes the tears flowed: injured once more!

Pogba injured once more – diagnosis there

During the duel with US Cremonese, the Frenchman collapsed near the touchline, wept and buried his face in his hands. Juve announced on Monday that the 30-year-old suffered a slight tear in the rectus femoris, one of the muscles in the front of the thigh. Italian media reports a downtime of at least three weeks.

Team-mates ran to Pogba during the game and offered him comfort, when the television cameras on the bench showed Angel Di Maria, the team-mate just shook his head in disbelief.

Pogba was treated on the pitch – but it’s all nothing.

“Pogba’s Endless Ordeal”

The 2018 World Champion had to be replaced, the whole stadium, including the Cremonese fans, applauded to encourage them. Di Maria even accompanied Pogba into the catacombs and hugged him.

Arkadiusz Milik came on for the Frenchman as Juve won 2-0 – but that only played a minor role.

It was Pogba’s first starting XI in 390 days – it ended in a bitter exit to the Catacombs, hiding his face under his shirt. From “Pogba’s endless ordeal” wrote the Gazzetta dello Sport.

Pogba’s bitter Juve time

Since returning to Juve in the summer, the midfielder has made just nine appearances in all competitions.

He last played for Manchester United on April 19, 2022, when he had to leave the field following just 10 minutes in a duel with Liverpool FC.

A long ordeal followed with a meniscus injury, knee surgery, and then problems with the adductors. Now comes the next bitter chapter.
