“Carolina woke up desperate every night, asking where her Blanquita was. She would get out of bed, walk down the hall and go to her room. She sought her out like a desperate lioness,” she wrote in the book. I might only hug her, contain her and answer: ‘Our girl is fine, she is in a better place. Like a phrase that is repeated, like a text learned from a bad scene.”
