Al-Marsad Newspaper: The Egyptian Dar Al-Iftaa responded to a question from a person who says: What is the meaning of Ibn Atta’ Allah’s saying in the ruling: Disobedience that bequeathed humiliation and lack is better than obedience that bequeathed pride and arrogance?

And Dar Al-Iftaa answered the previous question, saying that the ruling of Imam Ibn Ata Allah Al-Iskandari, may God be pleased with him, is one of the most useful books written on the facts of monotheism, and describing the path of the servant’s behavior to his Lord.

Dar Al-Iftaa said: The disobedience that necessitates brokenness is better than the obedience that necessitates arrogance. Because what is meant by obedience is submission, reverence, submissiveness, submission, and brokenness.

And the house continued: The fruit of obedience is humiliation and brokenness, and the fruit of disobedience is cruelty and arrogance.

Dar Al-Iftaa affirmed that if obedience is devoid of these meanings, then the disobedience that necessitates these meanings is better than it. For there is no lesson in obedience or disobedience, but rather what results from them in the heart.
