Saturday, around 4 p.m., several people were poisoned in the Lidl store on the road to Éghezée, in Auvelais. In question, the exhaust of freon gas from refrigerator installations. At one point, several people felt ill, to the point of requiring the intervention of the Val de Sambre firefighters.
On the spot, the rescuers evacuated the store. Four ambulances from the area were dispatched to the supermarket. In total, six people, staff members, were slightly intoxicated and taken to the CHR Val de Sambre and Saint Joseph clinics in Gilly.
A repair of the cooling system should take place shortly so that everything goes back to normal.
