Geneva Business News is celebrating International Family Day on May 15th, with a delicious team lunch in our office.
International Family Day was first introduced by the United Nations General Assembly in 1993 and officially celebrated the following year. It was initially founded to highlight families’ issues, including social, economic, and demographic factors. Since its birth, there have, however, been modern issues that have impacted families including the digital era, technologies, climate change, and COVID-19.
In the followingmath of the pandemic, many companies looked to develop their communities with their employees, clients, and partners to rebuild that vital sense of community that was missing. The rise of remote working as we become more digitized has also undoubtedly changed the workplace environment. How do we connect to others in an increasingly digitized world? Do we always need to be on a video call, when sharing the same office space? What role can team activities play? This growing debate continues to be discussed at GBN.
Families share their meals to strengthen their bond. GBN participants have opted for a team lunch to do just that. What better way to strengthen community bonding than over a shared meal!
