A motorcyclist lost his life following being hit by a pick-up on Saturday in Stavelot (province of Liège), the Liège prosecutor’s office said on Saturday evening.
The accident occurred between a motorcyclist in his fifties and the driver of a barely major pick-up. The motorcyclist died instantly.
After taking samples from the driver, no trace of drugs or alcohol was found. According to the medical examiner, the motorcyclist showed signs of crushing. It was the violence of the shock that caused the death.
An expert went to the scene. The cause of the accident is not yet known. An investigation has been opened.
