The new part of the Zelda series finally sees the light of day. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kindgom, as the new part of the series is called, is finally playable and the fans are thrilled. This is also reflected in the OpenCritic rating. The title easily climbs to the top of the best-ranked games. Even titles like Super Mario Odyssey, its own predecessor Breath of the Wild, Elden Ring and Red Dead Redemption can’t hold a candle to the new Zelda part.
Fans even camped out in front of a Nintendo store in New York for three days straight to be one of the lucky ones to get their hands on this game in physical form first. It’s also nice to see new and old friends reunite in the never-ending queue, all waiting together to finally get their hands on the physical copy of the game. Same open world map as the predecessor?

One day, while you and Princess Zelda are exploring beneath Hyrule Castle, you discover a mysterious cave. Curious, you enter it and are immediately captivated by what you find inside. An antique wall plaque and a mysterious mummified figure keep you in suspense.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, the figure comes to life and reveals itself to be Ganondorf. Yes, you heard that right, Ganondorf is back and making an impressive comeback. Hyrule Castle rises majestically into the air as a mighty earthquake rocks the land. In the midst of the chaos, Zelda disappears and you find yourself seemingly facing death.
But fate has other plans for you. You wake up on a floating island, high above the clouds. Part of Ganondorf’s strange energy arm is now fused with you. Hyrule has changed, evil has gained unprecedented power, and the mysterious Sonau people play a crucial role in this struggle.
It is now up to you, Link, to fight the darkness and save your beloved princess. You must solve the mystery of the Sonau, traverse dangerous labyrinths, solve ancient riddles and confront the shadows of your own past.
