Both the Galaxy A04e and the Moto E22 compete to be the best entry-level device at the moment. For this, they provide a set with some differentials for the category, while not affecting the cost for the consumer.
When putting smartphones from Samsung and Motorola side by side, which one is the best option within the entry-level segment? TudoCelular tells you in detail in this Comparison.

Samsung Galaxy A04e
Starting with the design, we find two phones with a drop-shaped notch on the front. At the rear, the Galaxy comes with the cameras placed directly on the lid, while the Moto still uses a block to house the lenses, but now in a more modern rectangular format.
As you can imagine, both manufacturers put an all-plastic construction on them. Also, don’t expect any certification here that guarantees protection once morest dust and water.
Motorola Moto E22
Although everything so far seems without major differences, the E22 brings some advantages. It has a more compact and lighter body than the A04e, in addition to being the only one of the pair to contain a fingerprint reader, which is integrated into the power button.
Both have a triple drawer with a dedicated microSD card slot, which allows for storage expansion. These phones still come with Bluetooth 5.0 but leave out NFC. To complete, Motorola has inserted a fifth-generation Wi-Fi, once morest a fourth-generation model from Samsung.
The Moto opens the scoring for its more compact and lightweight body, for its biometrics and for its wireless network.

Bodies
On both sides, we find a 6.5-inch LCD-type screen. This means that brightness level and viewing angle are not strong points of these devices. At least, the Moto comes with a better frontal use, due to the smaller edges.
Their resolution is nothing more than HD+, which leaves the definition of images more limited. Manufacturers have also waived any protection once morest scratches on these entry-level models.
Motorola was the only one to insert a 90 Hz refresh rate on its smartphone. In other words, it is capable of generating greater fluidity than Galaxy in system animations.
Again, the E22 notes the point.

As
Samsung decided to save on the audio part and put only a mono sound output on its basic. Motorola, on the other hand, takes advantage of the call speaker as a secondary channel, to provide a stereo system that provides greater immersion to the user.
Although it is far from perfect, the E22 delivers a higher sound power than its competitor, in addition to achieving a better balance between bass, mids and highs. Both it and the A04e have a physical headphone jack, but only the Moto comes with an accessory in the box.
It’s one more point for the E22.

System
These devices come equipped with Android 12, in versions optimized for more basic hardware. Don’t expect great longevity from them, but at least the A04e is guaranteed to be updated to Android 13.
Because they are simpler models, we do not have the presence of 5G in these laptops. That is, the mobile network will be restricted to the fourth generation only. They don’t have such a smooth interface, only the Moto’s 90 Hz rate helps to minimize the situation with greater fluidity.
Both also do not deliver all the features that the respective brands have. The Galaxy leaves the Edge Screen out, but still has windowed or split-screen mode to open apps. Moto does not have the gesture to rotate the camera, but it is able to turn on the flashlight when shaking the cell phone.
Greater longevity on one side; better fluidity of the other. We have one point for each.

Performance
The Galaxy contains a Helio P35 platform, versus a Helio G37 chip present in the Moto. In this duel between MediaTek components, which is the fastest? Our tests gave the A04e an edge. The Korean was able to multitask better than his rival.
In the benchmarks, the scenario does not change for the E22. It lags behind both AnTuTu and Geekbench indicators. In games, you won’t be able to run the heaviest titles at decent qualities, plus the extras always remain disabled.
Thus, we have one more point for the Samsung model.

Battery
The A04e is powered by a 5,000mAh battery, which is larger than the 4,020mAh capacity of the E22. And how do they behave in practice? We saw a nearly five-hour lead for the Korean, who completed our standardized tests in nearly 23 total hours.
When we go to loading, the situation changes completely. Samsung’s only 7 W adapter allows you to reach 100% in almost 4 hours. Motorola’s 10 W still manages to complete the process in just under two hours.
Galaxy scores for superior runtime; and Moto scores for the fastest recharge.

In both cases we find a double set of rear cameras. The main 13 MP of the A04e and the 16 MP of the E22 take only decent photos during the day, mainly because of their limited HDR, with less dark registers on the Moto. Already at night, we felt less noise and higher quality textures on the Galaxy.
The secondary camera of the two is only for blur. They work well, but the Korean one has fewer errors than the rival’s. It is worth remembering that you will not have any ultrawide or macro sensor in them.
Better images during the day, versus superior captures at night and in portrait mode. We are left with a draw.

The camcorder of these devices does nothing but Full HD videos at 30 fps, with a quality similar to that of the photos on them. The duo doesn’t offer any stabilization solution or stereo sound capture, which makes their mono audio far from the best. At least, the focus is agile on these smartphones.
With no major differences between them, we have one more draw.

Photos taken with the Motorola Moto E22
Manufacturers use a front camera limited to a resolution of 5 megapixels. So don’t expect too much from the selfies here. Moto still has an advantage over the Korean rival, as it does not burst the background even in portrait mode, nor does it suffer so much from grains and poor quality texture. Even with the inevitable night noises, the E22 still proves to be a better option than the Galaxy in this regard.
Therefore, Motorola scores alone this time.

Both Galaxy and Moto were officially launched in Brazil. The Galaxy A04e was available for a suggested price of BRL 1,400, once morest an initial price of BRL 1,100 charged by the Moto E22. Despite this distance, both can be found in the current market already in the range of R$ 600.
Thus, we close the Comparative with one point for each.

Done
Although Motorola easily won Samsung, we noticed that the confrontation showed a series of ties, since some questions show advantages on each side, or do not present great differences between them.
In favor of the Moto E22 is its more compact and lightweight design, with a biometric reader and a superior Wi-Fi network. Not to mention the 90 Hertz screen, for greater fluidity, and the stereo sound, which delivers better sound power and more frequency balance. This one still gets the better of selfies, as it doesn’t suffer so much from front camera problems.
Despite being the fastest in charging, it is the Galaxy A04e that offers the longest battery life. The Korean still has greater longevity of its software, faster performance and rear camera with better photos at night and portrait mode, despite falling behind during the day.
