The Santiago Court of Appeals ordered the architect Gastón May Boullon to refrain from sexually harass and threaten to the outstanding Chilean actress, Daniela Ramírez Rodríguez (36).
The decision was adopted this Friday by the capital’s appellate court, following the protagonist of La Ley de Baltazar filed a protection appeal in which she denounced harassment and persecution by the respondent.
In the libel sponsored by lawyers Ciro Colombara, Aldo Díaz and Anna Albano, the artist recounts that it all started through Instagram. According to her account, the facts date back to 2020 when she began to receive messages from her on her account from May Boullon in which he recounted episodes of her daily life and responded to the stories. that she posted on the social network.
However, little by little, communications evolved to such an extent that man began to pretend to be romantically involved with her, of course non-existent in reality. She even told him that she wanted to start a family together.
Everything led to the actress -who made her debut on the screen in Los Archivos del Cardenal- blocking the appeal from her social networks. A decision that, however, would not stop him. In response, the man “created more than 10 different Instagram accounts from which he wrote – as he currently does – on a daily basis,” the letter reads.
“The messages continued, even alluding to the death or homicide of his ex-partner; she insistently shared material with a high sexual content; she moved to the vicinity of the old home, thereby compromising her safety; he sends her pictures in which he appears completely naked; and, videos in which he is seen masturbating, accompanied by comments in which she urges her client to have future sexual relations with him ”.

The events described led to the actress filing a criminal complaint for threats in mid-2020. A case that, however, was closed a year later with the dismissal of the defendant. Hence the need for the victim to file a protection remedy.
According to the Altazor Award winner, during the filing of the complaint, the harassment actions ceased momentarily, and then resumed on July 27, 2022 under the same terms.

Response from Gastón May Boullon

In her response, May Boullon merely agreed to what was requested by the complainant. Despite what was stated by May Boullon, the capital appellate court established “according to the numerous documents and records submitted by the appellants (…) that the facts, behaviors, photographs, messages and denounced publications did exist”.
Justice also clarifies that “it is true that the respondent (that is, the architect) used technological tools not only to carry out acts of long-standing harassment, but also conduct of a sexual nature, towards the appellant.”
The resolution
All these facts -adds the Court- “lead to infer a probable threat of further acts of a similar naturedue to the attitude of the respondent before, during and following both the filing of the complaint and the present precautionary action, as Daniela Ramírez’s lawyer pointed out in court.”
“Gaston Alberto May Boullon, must refrain in the future from carrying out acts of harassment, harassment, sexual harassment, persecution and threats once morest the appellant and from making any publication on social networks on the matter, which involves the person of the plaintiff, her image and her honor.”reads the decision issued this Friday from the appellate court.
The measure was celebrated by the lawyer Ciro Colombara, representative of Daniela Ramírez: “Clearly the courts have ruled in favor of the person who is being harassed,” he commented.
“This is a case that will probably establish criteria, jurisprudence in the future,” he stressed.
