Apple surprises everyone by revealing the long-awaited iOS 16.5 release date. In an official press release, the company let slip this valuable information, which is quite rare of them.
Next week at the latest, users will finally be able to get their hands on the final version of watchOS 9.5 and iOS 16.5. However, we should not expect any major new features in this version. For the most impatient, it is possible to get a beta version of iOS 16.5 to get a preview of what’s new.
May 16 or 17: a logical deduction
The official announcement was made during the unveiling of the new Pride Edition of the Apple Watch. Revealing the release date of iOS 16.5, Apple also confirmed that this version would be required to take advantage of the new rainbow flag dial. The apple brand still keeps some mystery around this update, but in general, the company releases its updates on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Along with this news, Apple is announcing that watchOS 9.5 will launch at the same time. This is hardly surprising, since these two software are often linked in their development schedule.
