“Price Comparisons: Find the Best Deals at Supermarkets with Daltix Data”

2023-05-12 07:23:31

The data company Daltix, partly owned by Colruyt, constantly tracks and compares prices in all major supermarket chains in our country.

Between March 6 and May 1, 2,033 products became much cheaper at Carrefour. No other supermarket has lowered the value of so many labels. However, the brand has simultaneously increased the price of 5,519 items: another record.

Delhaize, for its part, reduced the price of 1,672 products, but increased that of 4,325 others. At Albert Heijn, 767 were sold cheaper, while 2,812 became more expensive. Colruyt, for its part, adapts its prices according to the competition: 1,646 items saw the price drop on their label, but 4,579 saw it increase.

Due to Daltix’s methodology, detailed conclusions were more difficult to draw on Aldi and Lidl. But the data company nevertheless found that more products were subject to a price hike during this period.
