LASK appoints Hans Jürgen Jandrasits as business manager. The financial expert worked for the Red Bull Group from 2006 and later as CFO of FC Red Bull Salzburg. In addition to optimizing ongoing operations, his agenda also includes economic aspects of the final expansion of the Raiffeisen Arena and squad planning.
With the construction of the Raiffeisen Arena, LASK set new infrastructural standards, and now they are following suit in terms of personnel: In order to make the club even broader and more fit for the future, a separate position “Managing Director Economy” was created. The new position will be filled with immediate effect by Hans Jürgen Jandrasits. Born in southern Burgenland, he is not only an economics and finance expert, but also extremely fond of football: he went through AKA Burgenland as a teenager and played in the Burgenlandliga as an active player. The business economist and doctorate in economics was able to combine his passion for the topics of business, finance and football professionally following the early years in the areas of auditing and corporate and tax consulting as well as a commitment at the automotive supplier MAGNA (2003-2006): From 2006 Hans Jürgen Jandrasits was entrusted with national and international financial projects and transactions in the Red Bull Group’s sports sector and acted as CFO at FC Red Bull Salzburg from 2010 to 2020.
“I feel honored”
After a football break of almost three years, during which the management consultant was mainly active in industrial projects, the step to LASK follows. Hans Jürgen Jandrasits, who has been an Upper Austrian by choice for many years, has signed a contract with the Black and Whites until June 30, 2026: “LASK is a top address and has great potential, not least because of Upper Austria’s strong business location. When I was asked a few months ago, I felt honored and didn’t have to think long following very good discussions. Now I’m back in football and I’m really looking forward to working with the entire LASK family.”
Hans Jürgen Jandrasits, as Managing Director for the Black and Whites, is responsible for the optimization of ongoing operations as well as for the financial processing of the progressing final expansion of the Raiffeisen Arena. In close coordination with sports management, above all with sporting director Radovan Vujanovic, the financial aspects of squad planning are also part of the agenda for the 47-year-old. “With Dr. Hans Jürgen Jandrasits, we were able to win a proven economics and finance specialist for the newly created position of Managing Director Economics. Due to his career, he is very familiar with the dynamics of the football world. We are very pleased to be able to benefit from his wealth of experience from now on,” says LASK President Siegmund Gruber.
