In Mont-Tremblant, a Montrealer who works for a big firm in Toronto has just made a major purchase.
Bernard Anzarouth and his wife Cindy Ann Morantz paid $4.3 million for a four-bedroom house on Lake Desmarais. It was displayed at $4.5 million.
Very popular, the area is very close to the old village and the ski resort.
“After Lake Tremblant and Lake Muskoka [en Ontario]Lac Desmarais is the most in demand in Canada,” says the broker responsible for the sale, Michel Naud.
The house relies, among other things, on a wood-fired pizza oven and a cellar on two floors. The new owners plan to make major renovations there, according to the broker.
Mr. Anzarout, whose primary residence is in Westmount, is a senior executive at Constellation Software. He has been its chief investment officer since the company was founded in 1995. Listed on the stock exchange since 2006, Constellation is currently experiencing good times: its stock is reaching new heights and is trading at more than $2,500.
Manon Brouillette returns to Quebec

Back in Quebec following a stint in senior management at Verizon in New York, Manon Brouillette moved into a chic building in Outremont with her spouse, Jean-François Bouchard.
The couple sold their previous Outremont property for $4.3 million regarding three years ago, shortly before the former Videotron CEO was hired by Verizon.
Mr. Bouchard is the co-founder of the Sid Lee agency. He also founded C2, behind the events of the same name, and is today at the head of the board of directors of BESIDE.
In the Eastern Townships
We hit the road once more, this time in the direction of Estrie, where a financier has just bought a whole property.
The house is located in Lac-Brome and sold for $3.2 million. The new owners are the boss of the investment management firm Montrusco Bolton, Sylvain Boulé, and his wife, Hélène Buithieu.
Located a stone’s throw from Lac Brome on the busy rue de Bondville (route 215), the house is set back thanks to a long private road.
Mr. Boulé has headed Montrusco Bolton since 2000. The company manages approximately $11.5 billion in assets.
As for Hélène Buithieu, she works as a dentist in a private practice as well as at the University of Montreal. She is an associate professor at the faculty of dentistry.
