vice chairman PAN Viva Yoga Mauladi responds to comedians Denny Cagur who registered themselves as PDIP Bacalegs. Viva said it didn’t matter because Denny Cagur was only a sympathizer in his party, not a cadre.
“Denny Cagur did not nominate himself from PAN. In the past, Denny Cagur was close to PAN comrades. Participated in several PAN activities. But not a cadre, but only PAN sympathizers,” Viva said when confirmed, Thursday (11/5/ 2023).
Viva said if Denny Cagur Progress from PDIP is his right as a citizen. Viva alluded to PAN, which has new energy from other artists.
“If Denny Cagur nominates himself, yes it is his right as a citizen to vote and be elected. Free and independent, he he. Currently PAN has added new energy from artists who are immediately willing to become PAN cadres,” he said.
Viva revealed several names to be nominated as PAN Bacalegs, including Uya Kuya in the DKI 2 electoral area and Verrel Bramastya from the VII West Java Electoral District.
“Among them are Uya Kuya, who will be placed in the DKI 2 electoral district, namely Central Jakarta and South Jakarta. Also Verrel Bramastya will be placed in the West Java VII electoral district, covering Bekasi Regency and Karawang Regency. And several other artists,” he added.
Previously, the PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) had registered 580 prospective 2024 legislative candidates (bacaleg) with the KPU. A total of 14 artists and public figures were also registered.
“There are around 14 cultural figures, artists and artists who have proven to have very strong competence,” said PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto at the KPU RI office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Thursday (11/5/2023).
