“2023 NBA Draft Combine: Full List of Participants Unveiled, Including Top Prospects and French Talent”

Big Draft information: the NBA has just unveiled the list of 78 players expected in the Draft Combine. This day of physical testing and play is dedicated to observing future big league players. Among the participants, all the gratin of the predictions… except Victor Wembanyama, who will remain in France since his season with the Mets is still in progress.

There, we begin to get into the serious stuff. The NBA, via its Twitter account dedicated to press releases, has revealed the list of prospects expected between May 15 and May 21 in Chicago to perform the league’s now classic battery of tests. All under the eyes of scouts from all franchises. A royal opportunity to make a good impression, like to fill up a month from the selection.

This is therefore a very important step, since the different participants – from multiple championships with different characteristics – are faced with the same tests. The opportunity to take the same benchmark for everyone and avoid the trompe l’oeil effect sometimes linked to statistics. 78 participants are therefore expected, with most of the best-rated young people of the vintage. Scoot Henderson, Brandon Miller, Ausar and Amen Thompson will indeed be there.

On the French side, Sidy Cissoko and Rayan Rupert are part of the list. Playing in the G League and New Zealand respectively, they will have the opportunity to make the trip. Which is not the case with Victor Wembanyama and Bilal Coulibaly. The two Mets 92 players have not finished their season with Boulogne-Levallois and will not be released by their club. Guaranteed to play the Playoffs, the two French nuggets will have to defend the colors of the club until the end. If for Wemby, the impact of this absence should be limited from a prediction point of viewit might be on the other hand for Coulibaly, currently expected at the end of the first round.
