the line Galaxy S23 stands out for bringing cutting-edge hardware and competent cameras. However, following the arrival of models on the market, many users began to miss a portrait mode with a 2x zoom. Seeking to solve this “problem”, the Samsung confirmed that it will make the new feature available in the next software update, in order to guarantee greater versatility to owners.

In March, the line Galaxy S23 received a major update to correct camera issues, while last week, the models were graced with the May security package which, in addition to bringing security improvements, improved the quality of night photos.
Now, the development team at Samsung revealed that the portrait mode of the Galaxy S23, S23 Plus e S23 Ultra will have a 2x zoom option. Currently, the new flagships of the South Korean giant offer a 1x and 3x zoom, with the first being captured by the main sensor and the second by the 3x telephoto sensor.
However, many consumers began to report that the 1x mode was too wide, while the 3x mode was too close. Fortunately, it seems that the 2x option — which will use the device’s main camera — should solve these “problems”, delivering an ideal compromise when capturing photos.
A Samsung did not reveal when the next update of the line Galaxy S23 will be made available, but the update is expected to reach owners of these models by the end of May. The company also did not mention whether the novelty will reach the line Galaxy S22.
