The realme C55 arrived in Brazil in April along with the realme 10 Pro Plus. While the latter is a more powerful cell phone, the C55 arrives as a more affordable intermediary that brings a lot of memory to stand out in the segment. And in this TudoCelular review, you will find out what it has to offer.
Despite being a simple device, the realme C55 has an attractive and distinctive design to stand out in the segment with a body that is thinner than too much and a glossy paint job that mimics the glare of the sun or even raindrops, depending on the color chosen. One of its differentials is to imitate the iPhone’s Dynamic Island by displaying information next to the selfie camera. Called Mini Capsule, the resource is still quite limited.
The C55 features a large 6.72-inch screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate. The adopted panel is of the IPS LCD type, which despite having good colors and contrast, does not get to excite at maximum brightness compared to rivals with an OLED screen. The mono sound is also a little disappointing and even though Realme claims that it brings a boost feature that forces the speaker, we still have less power than other intermediaries.
Performance is due to MediaTek’s Helio G88 and the model officially launched in Brazil comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. So much memory guarantees the model good performance, standing above rivals in multitasking. It is worth remembering that there is also a version with 6 GB of RAM and half of the internal memory in national retail. In any case, any version performs well in games, even the most demanding ones.
The 5,000 mAh battery lasts well with the possibility of rendering all day even in heavier use. It does not impress in autonomy, which has always been the strong point of realme intermediaries, but it conquers in the agile recharge time that takes 1 hour to have a full battery.
The photographic set of the realme C55 is formed by only two cameras: main 64 MP and secondary 2 MP dedicated to blur. While the first takes good pictures, the second has flaws and in many cases is disposable. It would be more interesting to see an ultra-wide to record wider shots or large groups of people. At least the front one makes good selfies, while the camcorder does the basics.
